Fire and Safety Route Sales and Service Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Sell, deliver, install, and maintain various types of fire and safety equipment at customer facilities
  • Train customers in the proper use of fire equipment
  • Make fire and safety product and service recommendations
  • Maintain and grow exisiting customer base.

Qualifications:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • High school degree
  • Valid drivers license
  • Good driving record

Our ideal candidate:
A mechanically inclined individual who enjoys communicating with customers. Company vehicle will be provided during working hours, so a good driving record is a must. We will train the right person.

Service Scheduling and Routing

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Heavy in and outbound telephone customer service
  • Mail monthly service-due notices to customers
  • Schedule appointments with new and existing business customers
  • Assign service appointments to appropriate route service personnel
  • Create and assemble daily routes for our route service technicians
  • Process invoices
  • Resolve service scheduling questions with customers
  • Explain products & services to customers
  • Maintain customer database

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of service sheduling and dispatching experience preferred.
  • Excellent phone skills required.
  • Must have working knowledge of the towns and streets in the greater Chicago metro area.
  • Attention to detail, organized, able to multi-task.

Inside Contractor Sales

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reviews construction specifications and drawings to determine quantities of fire extinguishers and cabinets and/or fire suppression systems for a project.
  • Creates and sends out proposals and installation and service contracts. Follows up on same in a timely fashion to obtain the order and service contract.
  • Creates and processes customer orders and contracts.
  • Occassionally develops promotional brochures, flyers, and other mailing or emailing inserts for contractors.
  • Develops and maintains a report with general contractors.
  • Represents the company at open houses, local trade shows, etc. as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be dependable, organized, and motivated.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Good phone skills required.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
